Lakeshore Market

The southern part of town, along the shore of Lake Superior, has changed a lot in the last ten years. Originally just the location of town hall, the hospital, a few grocery stores, and the dock, it has changed to become the center for tourists.

Now it is rows of restaurants and stores, a park, a man-made beach, a dock where you can rent boats and sea-doos, and numerous other attractions. Many of the stores are only open during the summer (including outdoor food carts, and some of the more fashionable stores), but this area remains the central shopping hub for the town year round. It also has Spankee’s and - echo - making it the nightlife scene in the community.
